Editor, The TCU Magazine
Norma serves as director of editorial services, which includes the publication operations of The TCU Magazine and its website. She also oversees publication of Endeavors magazine as well as the Marketing and Communicationís photo archives.
Prior to joining TCU, Norma spent 27 years working for daily newspapers, the last 12 years in newsroom management positions. She was managing editor of The Killeen Daily Herald, assistant managing editor-features at The News Tribune in Tacoma, Washington and deputy features editor at The Kansas City Star. She also was a staff reporter at The Houston Chronicle, a features writer at The Austin American-Statesman and a multimedia producer for MSN.com near Seattle.
Norma holds a masterís degree in journalism, concentration in media management, from the University of Missouri-Columbia and is studying for another masterís degree in digital media. She received her bachelorís degree in communications from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She is a two-time fellow of the Nieman Foundationís Narrative Editors seminar at Harvard University.

A 1995 graduate of TCU, Rick helps writes and edit The TCU Magazine, and is directly responsible for the news and sports sections of the publication. He is the Online Editor of the magazineís web site and manages all the social media.
Rick also writes and conceptualizes advertising projects for print and web, radio and television spots, advertising campaigns, brochures, annual reports, and sales pieces. Campus clients have included Office of Admission, Athletics, Schieffer School of Journalism, and College of Science & Engineering. He has won five individual CASE writing awards for magazine news and feature stories and five writing collection awards with editor Nancy Bartosek and staff writers. He's also collaborated on an award-winning athletics campaign and won a CASE gold for radio commercials.
Rick has a background in newspaper reporting, news design and copy editing. Prior to joining TCU in 2001, he was a writer and assistant city editor at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Corpus Christi Caller-Times and Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. He also was Marketing Publications Editor at Fort Worth architecture firm Carter & Burgess. A 1995 graduate of TCU with a bachelor of science degree in journalism/news editorial, Rick was a former editor of the TCU Daily Skiff and Image magazine.
Caroline Collier joined The TCU Magazine in 2014 after spending a decade writing freelance news stories for various Fort Worth publications and crafting grant proposals for public institutions and nonprofit organizations. She is a lifelong Horned Frog fan and a 1998 chemistry and economics TCU graduate. Her debut novel, The Shining City on the Hill, was published in 2012. When she is not reading or writing, she enjoys cooking, yoga, traveling and playing music. She lives in the TCU neighborhood.
